Empire (In Her Name: Redemption, Book 1)

In Her Name: EmpireThe fourth novel of the bestselling In Her Name series, when a hero comes of age…

Reza Gard is a young boy of the Human Confederation, swept up in the century-long war with the alien Kreelan Empire.

Nightmarish female warriors with blue skin, fangs, and razor sharp talons, the Kreelans have technology that is millennia beyond that of the Confederation, yet they seek out close combat with sword and claw, fighting and dying to honor their god-like Empress.

Captured and enslaved, Reza must live like his enemies in a grand experiment to see if humans have souls, and if one may be the key to unlocking an ages old curse upon the Kreelan race.

Enduring the brutal conditions of Kreelan life, Reza and a young warrior named Esah-Zhurah find themselves bound together by fate and a prophecy foretold millennia before they were born.

Fantastic story with great characters. The story kept my attention throughout and built it up to a surprise ending. Will definitely read the next one.

I got this as a free book from Amazon and I must say I could not put it down what a great story. I have since then bought and read the other 2 books in the trilogy and I am left wanting more. Will have to get the other series now as well. :)
    Thanks.

Downloaded on a whim, this was the first book I read for entertainment in over a year since the birth of my daughter. I was engaged immediately, reading it every time I had a precious few minutes to spare during the day. Words cannot express how impressed I am with this book. Thank you so much for providing me with such an enjoyable read. Cannot wait to read everything else you have on tap.

I have read an enjoyed ‘In Her Name’ series so very much. I will buy book 8 the very minute I hear of it’s release on Amazon. Eragon and GOT plus this series have made me into an avid fantasy reader. I thank you for sharing your imagination.

As a long time reader of sci-fi and fantasy, (over 45 years), rarely have I been as captured by a story line, and as touched in an emotional manner as I have with In Her Name: Empire. My thanks to my wife for suggesting I read this, and also to Michael for dreaming up this all too chilling universe. Now to borrow the rest of the books from my wife. :-)

This sites gripped me in a way that reminds of the way the classic lensman series did when i was a teenager. Completely unputdownable doesn’t even begin to describe my feelings for the trilogy.
This has got to be the best sites of science fiction written in the last thirty years.

The characters are so well developed and the story line so deeply involving, I was enthralled and entranced.

Be warned, these are dangerous books, they steal you’re mind and capture your imagination making them slaves to the whim of the author. Don’t waste time with the freebie book, buy the trilogy because you will want to keep reading the absorbing and involving sorry to the very end. And when you get there you’ll cry “no! I want more!”

Too much is never enough when a story is this good!

I’ve read the entire series twice in the last 3 weeks. Best writing I’ve read in awhile. I couldn’t stop reading it. Each chapter and book just led me to went to keep going to find out how things would continue.

The Kree’lan culture is captivating. Cannot wait for the final part of the 3rd trilogy to finish.

Silly question for you, but how were you able to offer your books for free? I want to do that too but KDP keeps setting a minimum that I can’t seem to override. I’d appreciate your input if you could share it. =) Thx

It’s called price matching. If you put your book free on another site (Kobo and iTunes are good), Amazon will usually – and eventually – match the price to free. :)

Downloading your first book free was great, I have since purchased the remainder up to book 6, you lead us to places in the verse that really brings this Sci-Fi world alive. I read the first three while on holiday, just finished Empire and now looking forward to Confederation, and by painting a brief history of the kreelan past, I am looking forward to the next three. Thank you….
